Hello.

I am trying to find out what kind of animal is pooping in my yard.  :wtf:  It is daily.

Please let me know.

Much appreciated.

Thanks.

Raccoon?  Is there any water nearby?

Thanks for your reply, X.

No, there is no water (pond, etc.) nearby.

The land development that is going on nearby whereby large areas of trees, etc. being removed is causing more sightings of deer, coyotes, etc. here in the city.

Its definately not deer.

No water, it's almost certainly not a raccoon.  Coyote or opossum, maybe.

that's dog.  Def not deer or coyote or possum or anything like that.  You can tell it's dog because it's eating a lot.  Deer eat vegetation and it looks different.  Coyote & fox eat mice & you can see that in their droppings

Wild animals' are usually darker in color, and grainier. This looks too smooth and regular.

Thanks all for your responses.

I just heard that about one mile (max) from me, someone had a racoon in their chimney a couple of weeks ago and then another one shortly thereafter.  So they are definitely in the area.  I had heard that they were around in fairly large numbers, but I had not positively confirmed that myself.

I'm still trying to identify the animal who is very 'regular' if you know what I mean.  :)  We have pretty strict and enforced dog laws so I am somewhat skeptical that it is a neighbor either on our street or on the next block doing this on a daily basis.  I am still investigating...

Please keep the feedback comin'.

Thanks.

UPDATE:

It's a biggun... racoon.

NEW TWIST -

The next door neighbor's cat has made the area once thought was due to a racoon, a toilet - a near daily activity.  Recently, the cat was caught red-handed more than once.  Maybe the racoon was part of the problem, but now the cat is the main issue.

The neighbor (and cat) is nice, but this has to stop.

Q: How can the relationship be maintained with the neighbor, but get this problem solved?  :-(

The neighbor has been told that the cat was spotted in the same area, going to the bathroom there.

Thanks.

Depending on the number of power shakes he's had, it could be my roommate's.
