May 10, 201213 yr Really great set of photos. You definitely captured how much a trip to MOMA is as much about people watching as it is about the art on display. And then some of the ways you caught people interacting, either actively or accidentally, with the displays is great. Bravo.
May 11, 201213 yr That was great! Love the photos of the crowd on the balconies watching the performance.
May 11, 201213 yr One of my absolute favorite spots in NYC - thanks for sharing pics of a lot of my favorites. Just a heads up, if we (the Admins) get contacted regarding their policy for photos of the artwork*, we'll have to remove the thread. :| *No photographs or videotapes may be reproduced, distributed, or sold without permission from the Museum." clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
May 11, 201213 yr ^I thought of that too, but unless the photos are being used for commercial purposes or to promote some "cause" not approved by MoMA then I don't think it should be an issue. Since photography is permitted in the entire permanent collection (non-flash) there must be millions of images of these same artworks out there not just privately but on threads like this one. http://www.mainstreetpainesville.org/
May 12, 201213 yr ^ unless uo is a registered non-profit, if it makes even a $1 then it is a commercial enterprise. so displaying artwork and other rights controlled images for profit could be an issue on any thread. of course someone connected to the works would have to complain first, i'm doubtful thats likely to happen, but it could. in that event they would just ask it be taken down. that aside, awesome shots and thread idea. i like the style where you feel like you are there going along for the visit. now bring on nouvel's moma tower!!!
