October 19, 201212 yr University of Cincinnati commits millions to Cintrifuse accelerator Business Courier by Dan Monk, Senior Staff Reporter Date: Friday, October 19, 2012, 9:03am EDT - Last Modified: Friday, October 19, 2012, 9:08am EDT The University of Cincinnati will commit $5 million initially and up to $5 million more in the future to Cintrifuse, a corporate-backed startup accelerator that is raising up to $100 million to bolster the city’s venture capital offerings. The investment will give UC an advisory-committee seat on a new fund of funds, which will invest in local startups and venture capital funds in other cities.
