Posted July 19, 201212 yr Hello all, We are taking a road trip and are looking for a neat place to stay near Ithaca, Cayuga Lake area. Preferably we want to be on or really close to one of the wineries and would prefer a B & B. If anyone has any recommendations, they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
July 19, 201212 yr My wife and I wento the Finger Lakes for our honeymoon several years back and had an incredible time. We stayed in Geneva (seneca lake area) and stayed at the White Springs Manor - it was a really nice place. It was surrounded by wineries but on the western side of the lake. We did go to Ithaca one evening for dinner and and it wasn't a very long drive down country roads - actually was very pleasant. The finger lakes tourism website has a lot of great informaiton with places to stay as well as maps of all the wineries. If you go to the Seneca Lake wine trail (the largest lake with most wineries) - their website is really good
July 19, 201212 yr My wife and I went there for our 1 year anniversary. We stayed on Seneca Lake, at Magnolia B&B which you can almost throw a stone either north or south and hit another winery. There are also some interesting state parks in the area, specifically Watkins Glen. And I second lewarctj's recommendation for their tourist website. A lot of good information and maps of the area.
