Posted July 23, 201212 yr Hi All - I'm not new here, but I just haven't posted in a while. I check the boards daily, I just don't chime in quite as much - but I appreciate everyone's opinion and information. I am looking for a little help and not sure if this is the right spot or not. I moved to Cincy about two years ago (live in Oakley). I currently work in Sharonville, but am anticipating some changes at our company that will likely entail a change for me. I have been getting my ducks in a row, trying to control my own destiny as far as employment goes. I really, really would like to work downtown, and be apart of the synergy going on in Cincinnati. I have scoured the regular employment sites (Monster, Indeed.com, etc) and have found a few listings in the Marketing/Communication area, but I am looking to find where I can go to see a list of small and large companies in the CBD. I don't want to solicit them, but I just want to look on their websites, etc for opportunities that may be available not coming up on the regular employment sites. Generally what I have found, are the larger employers which have a few listings, but I'd like to see a wholistic view of what may be available. So I ask you, UrbanOhio, how do I work in Downtown Cincinnati? Any help is certainly appreciated!
July 23, 201212 yr Try dunnhumbyUSA, they are always accepting resumes their website states. It basically says if they like you, they will hire you.
July 23, 201212 yr Almost four years ago I went to Robert Half and had them forward my resume out to local employers. I emphatically told them I would only entertain positions downtown. After a couple of "there is a great position out in Mason" misfires, I landed a position at my current employer at 4th and Walnut :). July 23, 201212 yr Contact or research Downtown Cincinnati Inc.'s website (DCI) almost every major player or employer downtown is a member of their organization. They should have data easily available, if they don't I am sure they could provide you with a list of employers. http://www.downtowncincinnati.com/Home.aspx
