Nice photos of Hartford.  However, did you notice in the photos how many people you see on the street walking around?  That says something about the place.

 

 

...but certainly better than the capital of Illinois.

 

I didn't care for Hartford aside from my absolute favorite state capitol building (CT).

I've been to Hartford twice now, stayed downtown across from that nice park  the Capital is in (Bushnell Park, I think), and agree with ColDayMan.

 

The place is somehow lacking, which I didn't expect.... 

Nice pictures of the Insurance Capital of the World. I travel there often for work, and agree with the previous comments in that I was pretty disappointed with the city. I usually stay downtown and it just does not seem very vibrant at all. As much as I hate suburbia, I am a big fan of West Hartford. They have a great, and vibrant, downtown area.
