Interesting to see Oliver on there.  Wonder if this was the same Oliver out of South Bend.  They made ag machinery, tractors, etc. 

Basically, we have replaced private industries that produced good paying jobs with government entities or taxpayer-fueled entities that pay less.

^yeah, I caught that, too. healthcare, schools....

also bear in mind IH/Navistar didn't employ nearly as many people in 1990 as 1950 & even fewer now. Add in that the hospitals have closed & merged into 1 entity & more jobs are gone.

And Wittenberg ain't all that big. The student population is about the same as a large high school.
