Posted September 19, 201212 yr Got a tour of the under construction Ernst & Young tower and Aloft Hotel site. This constitutes a significant portion of the first phase of the Flats East Bank Project. For more info please go here: http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,1823.0.html To sum it up this is a $275 million dollar new build Hotel and office tower. The tower will be 23 stories with a roof top terrace only for lease holders and has an iconic notch in its side build specifically because Tucker Ellis LLP was promised the top floors of the tower before Ernst & Young signed a lease. Since they agreed to move down a few floors they got that notch which provides terraces for executives in those offices. The tower will be connected via a climate controlled walkway to the new Aloft hotel. The Hotel will feature the Wxyz lounge/bar a fitness area and of course restaurants. The site is adjacent to a station on the RTA Waterfront Line. Phase two of the development will feature more restaurants, night clubs and apartment units renting from $1,600 to over $3,000. Here are the pictures:
