that's a really nice mix of photos. You even got the old Buffalo train station (which I never understood why it was located so far from downtown even back in the heyday of train travel) and beautiful downtown Rochester. Or is it Syracuse? :|

I didn't see the link, I was reading UO without glasses or contacts, now hush!

 

I had no idea there was a flop house on that block.  I've run past their doing my park to park runs and never knew!

^ i am not surprised -- i dont have any idea about this place either, but there are a lot of semi-legal and outright illegal hotels across nyc that only advertise overseas. it's a long running and potentially serious problem.

 

for example, the building near me that was in the news a lot during superstorm sandy because it lost it's facade in the storm was an illegal hotel. we all had no idea -- it brought the issue to light again.
