January 13, 201312 yr Nice try, but I know that those pictures are all from Lakewood and Kamm's Corner right here in Cleveland!
January 13, 201312 yr Nice try, but I know that those pictures are all from Lakewood and Kamm's Corner right here in Cleveland! ;) True, but this area reminds me more of Upper East Cleveland. The single family homes are darn near identical.
January 13, 201312 yr Obviously the gold standard of TOD's before TOD's were TOD's. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
January 13, 201312 yr Fantastic architecture there. Sort of also reminds me of parts of the Heights, although much nicer.

But as a person who is been there, its closest comparison is East Cleveland. You mean the Oakhill/Hazel Road area? Yeah, I can see that. Although it appears that Forest Hill (NYC) is geographically larger than the similar areas in EC and CH/SH. Is that true, or no?
January 13, 201312 yr ^"its closest comparison is East Cleveland"--huh? I admit it's been ages since I've been through East Cleveland, and I know that not every part of it looks like an abandoned wasteland, but Forest Hills Gardens is beautiful. Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm sure you will), but I don't think any part of E. Cleve. has this sort of planned and well-manicured and -maintained look. My memory (distant) of E. Cleveland brings to mind homes that might have been this prized at one time (like over 50--or more--years ago!), but no longer. I think the late Geraldine Ferraro lived in Forest Hills Gardens. (the Cuomo family too, I think) Somehow I don't picture her in East Cleveland--lol. http://www.mainstreetpainesville.org/

Upper East Cleveland (Forest Hills) and Lower East Cleveland anything north of Terrace, not including the Superior/Mayfield section. Forest Hills is stunning, if I was a single family home type of guy, I would strongly consider living there. I know a lot of people that think all of Forest Hills is located entirely in Cleveland Heights because of the quality of the homes, the architecture and the beauty of the neighborhood.

I just remember taking the bus into Cleveland occasionally and I would remember two things along the route: Shaw High School and that large apartment tower (can't remember the name) which was, I believe, in Forest Hills--up the hill. Again, not having visited the Hts area much growing up, I nevertheless immediately thought of Shaker & Cleve Hts when I went to Forest Hills Gardens. http://www.mainstreetpainesville.org/

A neighborhood in Cleveland A neighborhood in East Cleveland A neighborhood in Cleveland Heights. From my understand Hill & Hills can be used interchangeably, because the park starts in the Forest HILLS section of Cleveland and the major street in Forest Hills, EC/CH, is Forest HILLS Blvd. Forest HILLS Park starts in Cleveland and goes south into EC/CH. At one time the park continuous, now there is a break just north of Euclid. The Cleveland Heights/East Cleveland sections of the FH neighborhood look like one neighborhood, as they have design codes and are designated one historic district, although the neighborhoods are in two different cities. The apartment building you're thinking of is Lake Park Tower.

However, this development is not a neighborhood
