Covington, KY to be precise.  I just purchased a home in this suburb recently and planned to move in later this year.  But a flag on the play.  I have recently learned that the Brent Spence bridge is apparently obsolete and a big battle seems to be starting over how to fund a new bridge.  I have read a couple of news stories from northern KY business people that claim Covington is going to be irreparably harmed if the new bridge is built and a Toll collection system is implemented.

Is there anyone in Cincinnati that is familiar with this situation and has either seen or heard any stories that might refute the concerns by local leaders in NKY about the impact it will have on business and the quality if life in Covington?

meh. there are 2 other bridges directly connecting Cincinnati to Covington. Politicians blowing things out of proportion? Say it ain't so!

"Irreparably harmed" is relative. Yes, they will likely plow down a number of buildings for highway expansion. Is that going to drastically change the character of neighborhoods outside the immediate vicinity? Probably not. Will it irreparably damage parts of Covington? Most definitely.

If your property is not immediately adjacent to the current interstate right-of-way, it's probably not something to worry too much about. What are the changes you're afraid of, specifically?
