i was very excited about these tb cantinas, but they havent seemed to work out too well. i notice a lot of sketchy types hanging out in them out here. i think the cheap food attracts that kind of crowd. dont get me wrong i love my taco bell, everybody does, but i dont want to hang out and eat in those. kinda bummed about it because i wanted the concept to work. funny enough the regular taco bells are fine, so i dk what it is. the darker and larger layout i guess?

Their street appeal was pretty awful. I walked by it every other day and it never once crossed my mind to go in. I also didn't find out they serve alcohol until after they closed. They seemed to make absolutely no attempt to draw pedestrians in.

Also, these pictures from @Agreene2really make Euclid look "filled in" and I thought they belonged here.

I can’t stress enough how big of a deal them moving downtown is. Especially for the cool factor and relevance factor. There are times where they bring in celebrity artists to do small performances at

^ it sure is! 👍

I’m all for driving traffic downtown. These chain immersive experiences and “museums” opening in every city are a sad money grab when we have such fantastic institutions in the city already though.

Would this be the museum version of Spirit Halloween?

ha -- those kinds of things seem like fun ways to use unused space.

i had a museum of illusions right next door to us in the west village (maybe the same company?) -- and a kgb museum across the street.

both using empty retail space.

i have never gone into any of them i see around out here in nyc, but they seem to be popular.

i think anything that is more than just bars/restaurants is great for around downtown --- did the indoor golf place ever open?

It's open but no one goes apparently.

I've been (it's very nice, but expensive), and when I walked by on Thursday it looked like every bay was in use -- around 3pm on a Thursday!

^ that reminds me to go in one of those out here over christmas and try it out. i never considered it would be expensive though, hmm. 🤔

Can't say I've gone to the one in the Loop, but it's been open for a while - right after the Disney store left - so clearly there is some level of success.

Whatever drives people downtown or compliments other attractions sure sounds good to me. Plus kids dig this stuff a lot, and there isn't a whole lot for them to do other than eat, walk around Public Square, or visit the Great Lakes Science museum or libary. Not downtown at least.

FWIW on 5 Iron Golf - even if you're not a golfer, I'd recommend going in just to hang out at the bar and enjoy the space / grab a drink and some snacks. Anyone's welcome to just do that too, you don't have to golf or use the simulators. It's really a cool environment inside!

The place overall does seem to be getting busier lately, so that's a good sign. Just need them to do more with their streetscape and sidewalk presence!

Google maps 3D for Cleveland was finally updated and she looks great. Three new towers on Euclid plus most of SHW tower and the Hilton hotel is making a big impact.

Agreed. I think they’ve done a better job with signage and street presence since first opening. Also, they’re on the next CPC agenda seeking approval for blade signage.

I’m drawing a blank on the 3rd tower on Euclid. Beacon, City Club, and …?

Thanks! No clue how that slipped my mind.

Thanks for pointing this out!  I feel like the old 3d imaging was at least 5 years old.  A lot has changed.  Someone could pinpoint the exact date of the scan with the SHW tower progress.  Anybody know if the old 3d renders are still accessible?

I started this thread (and didn't keep up with it...) but no reason it can't be changed from Historic to just maps:

If I wasn’t on UO, I’d never know they existed. They should probably try marketing, or advertising. And yeah, a sidewalk presence would go a long way.

I feel like the times I've had 92.3 on I've heard their stuff. But dude, tables outside in summer (anti-indoor golf, I get it) would be awesome. That stretch is lacking so bad.

Anecdotal but they are ALL OVER my Instagram feed every time I use the app so I can assure you they are marketing to somebody 🤣. Too bad because I live right next to a very similar golf sim place on the west bank so I go to that one instead.

I think the golf simulator has officially received more UO attention than the SW R&D

You’ll need to go to suburbanohio.com for more information.
