Fiberglas Tower, now officially called Tower on the Maumee or Riverview, I'm not sure.  :wtf:

It was home to Owens Corning from 1969 to 1996. Vacant for 17 years, currently being renovated for what seems like most of that..

Obviously this is not a complete tour and I skipped many things. That just gives me another reason to do it again. Next, I think I'm going to do a tour of Promenade Park and the rest of the downtown waterfront.

Comments and Questions are greatly appreciated.  8-)

Great tour!  Any idea how many apartments there are in Downtown Toledo, existing and under construction?  It is more than I knew there were, at any rate.

I love love love tours like this.  Informative, nice photos, and a map to boot!

Great tour...Toledo has some good bones.

great thread - we need more toledo on uo!

even tho personally i knew perfectly well what you were showing us, most people w/o familiarity w/ toledo would not, so very good idea to include the wiki map view before you got rolling.

i hope you can shoot more neighborhoods for us.

Thanks for the tour - I guess I didn't spend much time downtown during my college years except for going to Portside, seeing bands at the Bijou, and grabbing late night sliders at White Tower on Jefferson...  I should really take a new look around downtown Toledo when I come back for homecoming this fall.

Thanks for the tour!

Is there a story behind the Pythian Castle?  Are there any prospects for reuse?
