Love Sandusky!

Fantastic photos. Sandusky has a tremendous building stock, but too many upper floors are unused and boarded-up.

I think of all those mid-tier smaller cities in this state, Sandusky has the most potential (the bay alone).  Thanks.

The buildings are made of limestone because of the quarries near there.

It made from some grand buildings, or so felt my skipper, who grew up in Sandusky.

Nice showing of parts of Sandusky you don't usually see or hear about.

I've been out there twice this year after not visiting since I was a teen.  In fact, the last time I went, the Magnum stuck out like the Sears Tower in the skyline of Cedar Point.  Now, it is barely noticeable.  In the early Spring, we took the kids for a long weekend at the (compound) Khalihari.  Great times for a cold-weather getaway.  Just a few weeks ago, I took my son and his little girlfriend to Cedar Point.  I was happy to learn that I could still stomach a roller coaster, although I'm glad they weren't quite tall enough to force me to go on the Top-Thrill Dragster.... but we took on the Iron Dragon, the Mean Streak (ouch), the Magnum, the Gemini, and the Corkscrew.

Sigh, now you're just making me homesick!  Great photo tour!!!!

Is the city pretty much abandoned? Saw 5 people in 3 pictures.

Or were you walking around screaming crazy stuff while snapping pics?
