February 6, 200916 yr One of my life goals is to say something witty enough to make the Favorite Quotes thread :-(
February 6, 200916 yr discussion about Michael Phelps from the "off topic" thread "Weedies," you say? That would be a great name for a product. Lots of sugar and salt, and a mouth-satisfying crunchy-chewy texture. Chocolate-coated? Maybe. Phelps would be an ideal spokesman, and seeing as how he's lost his Kellog contract and probably will lose others, he'd be available at a discount rate. The next place I expect to see him is on a milk carton; "Has anybody seen this boy, lately?"
February 7, 200916 yr Author .. NO .. why .. this old lady only know`s 9/11 and all photographers are terrorist .. this is the biggest problem in the US .. old ladies are stupid .. they can not think .. .. do you remember .. an old lady asked J. Mc Cain : "..is Barack Obama a terrorist ?" Classic. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
February 9, 200916 yr From: Cleveland: Restaurant Openings, Closings & Relocations I want to try L'albatros too. I looked at the menu on line and could have eaten the computer screen
February 10, 200916 yr I don't know Leisure Suit mans financial status, so what I think is moderate, he may think is expensive. That's why I suggest looking at the website so he can make his own determination. If its a special occasion, I say go for it. But leave the Leisure Suit at home.
February 10, 200916 yr From 2004 and later in the Queen City Square thread -- "I repeat, there is NO market for any additional office space downtown and certainly not 40 stories worth. Thankfully, however, it might speed along some old Class B renovation in town because of the competition. My prediction again: Phase I will be mostly empty for years and Phase II will never be built. Also, if you are looking for quality architecture, don't look to W&S. Have you seen 6th & Race??? Also, have you seen the empty lot between 5th and 6th and Race? Don't expect W&S to move quickly on anything or do anything of quality." "Vacancy rates are going up for Class A and B space. The Grandaddy is not going to be built any time soon. My prediction all along on this. I have been in Cincy long enough to know that."
February 11, 200916 yr Oh, various. I was going through the thread in the archives, and was surprised at what some said compared to what is going on now.
February 13, 200916 yr I expect everyone in Europe to have my political leanings but to a higher degree while also being skinnier with cool accents. -Uncle Rando
February 13, 200916 yr Whenever MTS refers to his "skank-in-law". Funniest term ever I've since referred to one of my brother-in-laws as the "jerk-in-law" to my friends. Not as funny though
February 13, 200916 yr Whenever MTS refers to his "skank-in-law". Funniest term ever I've since referred to one of my brother-in-laws as the "jerk-in-law" to my friends. Not as funny though Makes you feel better doesn't it? ;) Whenever I refer to her as the Skank-in-law, I come away with that "I win, now sit your a$$ down and SFU" feeling.
February 19, 200916 yr ^haha! It is pretty classic. You should write a pilot for a show called "How I Met Your Skank-in-Law". OH...Sugar, if I wrote a pilot it would be, "How to Kill a Skank-in-Law!" She's been 20 year PIMA!!
February 19, 200916 yr He says "we'll win on value" so he's worth billions? I just said it too. Pay me. We'll win on value. Pay me. It's not like the rest of us thought P&G was going to win on hamsters, or lose on roller skates. From the CEO compensation thread.
February 19, 200916 yr ^Damn X, beat me to the punch. I was also going to nominate 327's latest "Cleveland downtown retail" cry of desparation.
February 19, 200916 yr "Ask any old person about any mall and they say something like "that was all farms!" They don't say "as soon as there was a small county seat worth of population there concentrated within a couple square miles with zero retail, somebody finally said OK let's give them folks a mall." That quite frankly never happens, that I know of." ~ 327 on the Cle downtown retail thread.
February 20, 200916 yr From the Age Thread I prefer it this way, actually (well, ask me that in a couple of years, but that's how I feel now). I don't have the energy or desire to go out and whoop it up like I did in my 20s, being completely free of a kid now would be a waste. I'm glad I had my share of fun (and probably 6 or 8 other people's shares as well) in my 20s.
February 23, 200916 yr from the computer expert thread Classic X! It no longer can handle complete sentences? Forced.....to type....slowly......lots of .....periods. ;)
March 3, 200916 yr I vote in Ohio. It's a democracy. The majority spoke. Exactly. So, you by yourself, being one person, didn't bring about the change you wanted. Would it be safe to assume that? Also, I think it's a lot easier for you to talk when you live in both Cleveland and NYC. Why not just pick one? And I AM picking on MTS. Because I think he's an asshole who never thinks he's wrong. Any Youtube video of UOs greatest fights?

March 9, 200916 yr "Had the Great Depression never happened, Toledo may have been one of America's largest and greatest cities." -C-Dawg Toledo was doomed from the moment it lost its canal connection with Fort Wayne.
March 11, 200916 yr From the RTA Healthline Thread Do they somehow resemble legs kicking like in a chorus line? I think thats what I remember reading that the artist was trying to invoke. Perhaps... that's not the first thing I thought of. I like it regardless of what it's meant to be. I'm basically 2 years old. I like lights and shiny things.
March 13, 200916 yr I hate everything about casinos. The sound of the machines, the bad live music, the cheesy uniforms, all the cameras, the overweight people, the cruise ship decor, the exterior festoonery, the 10-floor parking garages, the boring restaurants, the false excitement. -jmecklenborg in the Ohio Casino Gaming Discussion thread
March 20, 200916 yr Good god: http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,18669.0.html Atlas: "Theres something about a boy in trouble with the law I find so....appealing." "AJ's former victim? Dare I ask? Do I need a restraining order? He does know where I live now" MTS: "Thank goodness, you took your BF and were not injured like AJ's former victim." "Yes! The victim is traumatized and is in seclusion." -- What a hilarious choice of words! http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,18720.0.html "...the real Louisville skyline…towers popping up over a sea of lower buildings. The cum shot is from across the river or from the east with the skyscrapers bunched together..." I actually like the view from the abandoned car lanes on the K&I Terminal Bridge, but it's tricky to get out there without being detected.
March 20, 200916 yr Apparently Dan is going straight to hell From the Cleveland City Council Thread How many wards are in Shaker Heights? ;D Just one more thing to add to his list!
March 21, 200916 yr From the Forums agonizingly slow thread Jesus - I was starting to get the shakes and see bugs on the wall. UO withdrawal is an ugly adventure. LMAO!!!
March 21, 200916 yr Apparently Dan is going straight to hell If you should unfortunately get there before me, save me a seat!!
March 21, 200916 yr Apparently Dan is going straight to hell If you should unfortunately get there before me, save me a seat!! I've taken holiday in Hell. It's like the Southwest (dry) and Southeast (humid) and like both OVERRATED. Everyone was wearing knock off Gottex & Celine, it was just a mess. I suggest visiting Purgatory instead, you get the best of both worlds.

March 25, 200916 yr From the Obama thread In all fairness, Hootenany did acknowledge that he appreciates President Obama's effort to get things done. However, on "trickle down theory" I completely agree with 327. Also, I do not claim to be an expert Economist, but I did minor in it in college AND I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. :) Jam you've earned one b*tch slap for this! I can't stop laughing. LOL
March 30, 200916 yr From the Is downtown Cleveland a better place than 10 years ago? thread. Pro: Cavs drawing better crowds Con: Indians drawing fewer crowds Pro: The Browns are back! Con: The Browns are back... That just tickled me!

April 19, 200916 yr Has anyone noticed how every hotel room has a holy bible for your convenience? It never fails. I've been in hotel rooms that didn't even f#cking have coffee makers but still managed to have a bible. Maybe it's one amenity that they know people won't have the balls to steal. -David

May 14, 200916 yr Perhaps not thier entire operations, but I would expect that companies who generate a good deal of business through the MM will have manufacturing or assembly facilities nearby That is why I was so frantic when the PD was trying to kill the project I work in the medical devices industry, and I agree with punch on this one Well alright then. I'll shut the f8ck up! :o A first...
