May 14, 200916 yr Perhaps not thier entire operations, but I would expect that companies who generate a good deal of business through the MM will have manufacturing or assembly facilities nearby That is why I was so frantic when the PD was trying to kill the project I work in the medical devices industry, and I agree with punch on this one Well alright then. I'll shut the f8ck up! :o A first...
May 29, 200916 yr Mine: *People who pull into a driveway or in front of a house and lay on the horn (especially at night). Get out of your damn car and go ring the f***ng doorbell!! Im sorry, if im going to pick up a friend or a cousin, ill call them when i leave my house to let them know im on the way. Once i get in the driveway im giving a quick 2 beeper and they should be outside. Im coming to you up to go somewhere else, not to come inside for tea and biscuits. And for this I hate you. If you need to let someone know that you've arrived to pick them up, you can use the device God invented for it: a cell phone. Horn came long before the cell phone. Think ill stick with the horn. Yeah, you're free to do what want, as is your right. But everyone else around is free to despise your very being. Also, the horse came before the automobile, so I'm not ever sure what you're doing behind the wheel anyway. What a great exchange, with MoonlightOhio landing the final, devastating blow. June 3, 200916 yr Atlanta seems like one big Ponzi scheme. Needing to bring in companies to keep the scheme going. This beauty happened in the NCR moving to Atlanta discussion thread. Hilarious and true all in the one.
June 3, 200916 yr Surburban sprawl is a giant ponzi scheme. It promises low traffic, low taxes, low pollution and low crime. But once the suburbs are fully built out (reached peak success), none of those promises can be kept anymore. So the promise spreads to the ring farther out and leaves the older rings less healthy.... June 5, 200916 yr I don't think I've ever laughed at such a stupid collection of mugshots in my life. Thanks. Now let's cut it out before the bitch turns us all into toads. June 9, 200916 yr From the, "You Damn Young'uns," thread. ^Actually, we're going to be the least spoiled generation since the Great Depression. Things are heading to an even worse reduction in standard of living. We still have yet to feel the brunt of the commercial real estate collapse and the half a trillion dollars in unpaid student loans!!!! This is going to be one hell of a collapse for America. Our dollar will be worth less than toilet paper in a year. BTW, speaking of good investments... The Optimist sees the glass as half full, The Pessimist sees the glass as half empty, You seem like the kind of person that sees the glass as a swimming pool for the bacteria that you just knows are in there waiting for you.
June 18, 200915 yr Boehner cannibalism. This fish weighs the same as my wife. And you wouldn't eat your wife, so nuff said. The fish should be elected mayor or something, and eat John Boehner.
July 13, 200915 yr "It was to be the tallest building in the state, and certainly the ugliest." SFSpike on a skyscraper that didn't get built in Columbus.
July 14, 200915 yr from the Critical mass of people for downtown thread punch, I respectfully disagree, while admitting that I'm not skilled in the art of topic identification.
July 16, 200915 yr "Can we lock this thread until any concrete news comes out? It is turning into a p!ssing match, and it's giving me a headache, and I'm not even a moderator" -Doc Broc in the Downtown Cleveland Aquarium thread.
July 22, 200915 yr I almost wanted to eat my computer. But it wouldn't taste like chocolate. - jpop, Cleveland: East 4th Street Developments thread.
August 3, 200915 yr I don't know how this nugget was left out of here for so long. I just came across the riveting discussion of handicap tag abuse in the Ohio Politics thread, and found this. Thanks to X.. That was Death Wish VII, right? Really good installment in the series. Not only does he confront handicap parking space abusers, but he also keeps a kid's baseball that was homered into his yard. In one gripping scene, he writes a really cranky letter to his City Councilman about high grass and weeds at the neighbor's house. He also stiffs the pizza guy for his "sass mouth". http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,19724.msg411429.html#msg411429 Oh god...still laughing....
August 7, 200915 yr from Cincinnati Streetcar News I don't think advocating violence helps your cause any. I wasn't advocating violence, I was paraphrasing a famous line from a movie. You must have been out sick the day they talked about metaphorical language in grade school English class. Besides, there's no need for violence when mockery and ridicule work just fine. LIG is mess. LOL
August 10, 200915 yr People talk a tough game when they think they have internet anonymity. Seems like a non-story, except to the boreal types.
August 28, 200915 yr When buildings are continually torn down the city losses the very thing that makes it interesting. From the midtown Cleveland thread. I couldn't agree more!
August 28, 200915 yr Not related to this thread per say, just a pet peeve from the prior post and other posts.... could people please learn the different between lose, loss and loose. Lose - verb, to not win, plural: loses Loss - noun, not a win, plural: losses Loose - adjective, opposite of tight [/rant]

August 28, 200915 yr I don't consider the best President of this century to be a loser. :) (nor a losser, nor loose(like his predecessor).)
August 28, 200915 yr I'll have to take your eword for that. Yes ma'am is just some urban slang... http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=yes%20mam I forgot you were a country boy. :)

August 30, 200915 yr To be honest, these white chicks are pretty weak. I don't think they're anything special other than the fact they're still young, have good skin, and haven't yet been aged by cigarettes, alcohol, tanning, and emotionless flings. Classic C-Dawg talking about pictures of girls walking around Xavier University's campus on move-in day.
September 11, 200915 yr While cleaning topics, I came across this gem from grasscat -- http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,13663.0/msg,218997.html Huge loss brings name change, new QB By "Gary" Following a 106-62 thumping from The Drunken Yeti, Kennedy Heights Hurt owner grasscat has made a few changes. The most noticeable is the renaming of the club to "Operation Macho Kick-Ass". Grasscat hopes that the new name will inspire his team. "Meh...," grasscat said. He then turned over in his bed and requested that I turn the lights out as I leave. Operation Macho Kick-Ass also signed QB Trent Green after former QB Marc Bulger's pathetic display of inertia in last week's opener. Green was unable to give an opinion of his new team, citing a ringing in his ears that he's had since last year's Chiefs-Bengals game. "Gary" is a freelance writer who lives under the Western Hills Viaduct.
November 5, 200915 yr In response to Mayor Mallory's "hot date": Touching the buttons on that belt buckle activates her super powers.
November 10, 200915 yr you cant just say something off topic and fix it by saying 'back on topic'. It like sayin 'no offense, but your wife is a whore' But lets get back to topic Whipjacka might just make on to my good whippersnappers list!
November 11, 200915 yr I would think somewhere over by Union Terminal would be a good location, tie in with Amtrak and future rail service. Right. But so long as the 3C rail will be at Lunken, they should see if they can use the Transit Center, because it would connect directly to the streetcar, and undoggle COAST's arguments by showing what a boon good planning is to the City.
November 16, 200915 yr On Joe Boehner: Dude has a better tan than George Hamilton. Ahahaha. I spent most of the summer outside with my shirt off and he's still darker than me. You have no chance... he spent the whole summer inside a can of bronzing cream.
