SO - - - while searching the internet for "deep underground bunkers - Ohio" I came across some postings about Peebles. Basically they asked the same question as this post.  Seems some newswoman in Cleveland couldn't get satellite images of Peebles  - as if it was a federally controlled area like an air base etc. In searching for maps of Peebles I could not get detail on the area to the West of downtown - blanked out etc.  So  does anyone know why this could be or of any reason this nice little town should be of so much interest in the conspiracy mills?

A buddy of mine got to tour parts of it once. He saw them put a frozen turkey though a jet engine.

Of course this raises more questions than it answers.  When you say underground  do you mean like 500ft deep or more or less? Who mans this site?  Are they civilians or military or something inbetween?  Do you haer noises?  See strange things ?  See where I'm going?

5. Strange things? Like? "FEMA death camps"? I know of the rumors and it's all false. I grew up in that area and know those roads like the back of my hand. Plus, no one has actually cited where the "death camp"/etc. is actually at. Just that it is "west of Peebles."

The GE plant in Evendale has all kinds of stories about it as well.

Yep. Long, disused corridors. Some empty buildings. Most have been reused or demolished in the past few years as they have cleaned up the property.

Thank you all for the information.  I even visited the test facility web site - very impressive. I had never heard the rumors about a FEMA death camp. Guess I'm just behind on conspiracy rumors. I didn't know GE had a facility there, and what appears to be a rather large one to boot. Thanks again for your help and all my best to the good people of Peebles.

He.  I think I'm probably already "contained" but better than being probed I guess.  The original statement I saw was just about the town as being of low res. on satellite photos.  When I tried to see the satl. view, the area to the west of town that showed up on distant views just came up white with no details. From the distant view it appeared to be a mining operation.  Maybe some other site had better pictures but I couldn't find any. In the posts I read it was mentioned that a TV reporter in Cleveland had the same problem and was asking for info as to why.  I do not know the date of the posts.

I live in Peebles and have a few family members and friends that work at the GE test facility. I'm pretty positive that there isn't a death camp of any kind out there. There is a nudist colony not far from town though. Maybe that's the rumored death camp since it's only old people there.
