Very nice.  Interesting how the two cities blended so seamlessly in this thread.

Agreed nice blend!

I see you enjoyed the near west side and west side...next time you'll have to hang in the east.

Very nice eye for Cleveland.

i dig

No pictures of me?

Well if you had shown up at the Tiki bar...

What street is that in River North with the two story retail buildings. It really has the same feel as Queen Street in Toronto. Although I would argue all of River North reminds me of downtown Toronto.

Oak Street.

Anyone volunteer to go out on those balconies that are 500, 1,000' feet up, in the Chicago condo skyscraper building?

Nice set! The Cleveland photos look kind of bleak compared to Chicago. Vermillion looks like a really charming place, though.  One observation I've had about Chicago is that, outside of the Downtown area, the majority of Chicago looks largely the same. Without any topography to break things up, the neighborhoods seem to blend into each other, and the commercial streets all look pretty similar.

News Flash! There are many bleak areas of Chicago. So how about worrying about your own bleak city and not slam Cleveland.

I don't think it was necessarily an insult on Cleveland. I think it was just a comment on the locations ColDayMan had a chance to photograph.

My god. Sensitive much? I check out and comment on almost every Cleveland photo thread because I love seeing pictures of the city.  There are, of course, many great parts of Cleveland, and there are plenty photos on UO that show that.  I was referring to the contrast between the Chicago photos presented here and the Cleveland photos presented here. So how about you get a little self confidence and not take everything as an attack on Cleveland.

For the record, my city is not bleak. I don't want you to take my lack of a response to that clear insult as agreement.

Oh please. I regularly lurk on these forums and he is always making passive aggressive comments whenever Cleveland is mentioned. He's looking for a response just like freethink's.

Thanks for the insight, lurker. Really glad this was one of your 27 posts. What a great contributor you are to this forum!

I'm loving these photos, but there needs to be more Sandusky!

That's not accurate.  In the past 4 months, I could only find three posts of edale's on Cleveland photo threads other than this one:

Beautiful gardens! I love how Cleveland celebrates the diverse cultures that call the region home.

Cleveland is looking good! Nice photos, MayDay.

I'm not spending the time to go any further back.

CHICAGO'S UGLY AND I HATE ALL OF YOU PEOPLE!!!

Just felt like balancing things.

There used to be a ton of Toronto style residential / commercial buildings on Oak street but they've since demolished most of them and replaced them with modern multi-story retail structures.  I think they are done for now as many left are "Red Structures" which means the city will likely reject any demolition permit.
