Posted December 17, 201311 yr Corning, New York population ~11,000 -most of these are in Market Street Historic District… Market Street runs parallel to the Chemung River, and is pretty much the only street in the downtown with commercial buildings. The one road is quite long in length (not as ridiculous as Hudson NY though, but is still quite excessively linear in layout) There is also a little neighborhood at the end which is across the river, near the big glass making factories. December 18, 201311 yr Great pictures, as always. I've only been in Williamsport very briefly, I pass through it when driving from Rochester to DC. I was very impressed with the architecture of the place the first time I saw it. It's quite an attractive city. I was also surprised to see all the hotels, grocery store, Kohl's, etc. right downtown. It was kind of refreshing to see those things downtown instead of surrounded by a sea of parking on the fringes of the city.
