Posted February 4, 201411 yr gotta love the headline Springfield cemetery fence a magnet for car crashes Ferncliff averages 6 to 8 crashes a year into fence. Many cemeteries have wrought iron fences around them but motorists seem to be attracted to them like magnets. At this Springfield cemetery panels cost almost $1240 apiece. While the Springfield cemetery is on a 90 degree turn at the bottom of a slight descent, it's easy to navigate. This story discusses a portion of fence on a straight part of the road, however. I see this in Cincinnati at Spring Grove Cemetery, too. One of the few straight flat stretches of roads in the city & people still manage to swerve off the road and take out chunks of iron fence. It's gradually getting replaced with cyclone fencing. Would a state law maintaining lower speed limits around cemeteries work? http://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/news/local/springfield-cemetery-fence-a-magnet-for-car-crashe/nbRtL/
