Posted February 12, 200619 yr this thing is pretty old school cool already. its in queens. the update sounds great, but still i hope they don't blow it: February 12, 2006 Lighting a Better Panorama It is no secret that one of Gothamist's all-time favorite New York attractions is the Panorama at the Queens Museum of Art (have you still not been?). A holdover from the World's Fair, the Pan-to-the-orama is just, well, tubular (that's right, we're bringing tubular back, baby!). But for all of it's craziness, the Pan'ama is about to get even crazier. Thanks to state and city funding it is about to undergo a half-million dollar renovation which will introduce "video projectors and moving, computer-controlled lights that will allow for an electronic 'tour' of the city with highlighted landmarks." We honestly can't wait. Panorama photo from Doktor Atom's flickr stream. link: http://www.gothamist.com/archives/2006/02/12/lighting_a_bett.php
