Posted May 22, 201411 yr I am relocating to Dayton from Columbus starting in August. I will be working in Miamisburg, but since I have just graduated school from OSU I am looking for a cool place to live and don't mind a 20 minute commute. I know very little people down there as well. Please let me know of any good places to look , any good deals, or anyone looking for a roomate. Thanks!
May 22, 201411 yr Go to South Park, up coming area near UD. Great vibe, a little bohemian. Mix of students, young professionals, urbanites, empty nesters.
May 22, 201411 yr Oregon District and South Park are nice urban areas you could look into with a mix of bars, restaurants, etc. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
May 22, 201411 yr Springfield - on the west side near Snyder Park. Don't let these guys sell you on a poorly animated cartoon world.
May 23, 201411 yr Springfield?! With a job in Miamisburg?! Terrible idea. I messaged forumer kdogg73 who lives in South Park and might know someone looking for a roommate. "It's just fate, as usual, keeping its bargain and screwing us in the fine print..." - John Crichton
May 24, 201411 yr I'd look into downtown/Webster station as well. In particular the Cannery, the Landing (currently has a long waiting list though) and maybe Dayton Towers. Otherwise, St Anne's Hill is pretty cool, as is Park Latne and a couple of other apartment complexes in Grafton Hill if you want to go that route. Good luck!
