June 5, 201411 yr Toledo: 419-936-1212 Elyria: 440-323-8811 Lorain: 440-246-1234 used to be time and weather, but only gives the time now.
June 5, 201411 yr We got two in Columbus: (614) 281-8211 - operated by WCMH-NBC4 TV (614) 469-1010 - operated by WBNS-10TV
June 6, 201411 yr ^I don't know about creepy, but I am curious what the point of these lines is in an era of internet and smartphones.
June 6, 201411 yr I used to call the 281-8211 all the time when I was little. Mom's not good with the internet and high speed internet isn't in the cards down at the farm. No smartphone for her either. She's into the weather radio. 30 percent of the U.S. doesn't have high speed internet available. City folk forget this.
June 6, 201411 yr ok so any more lines with area codes if didi not post the area coads please do so now

June 6, 201411 yr I bet people who live in San Diego don't know anything about these weather lines and weather radios. I bet they don't even know the names of their local meteorologists. Whereas here this stuff controls every aspect of our lives.
June 6, 201411 yr ok, this actually came up on a Springfield FB page... It WAS 325-4611 It was associated with a bank I think.. It would have been FAirfax 54611 prior to the 70s.
June 6, 201411 yr Cleveland (via WKYC - with lots of commercials. Not how I remember it being when I was a kid) 216-WE1-1212 When I was young, 216-WE1-1212 was the number for weather, and 216-GR1-1212 was the number for time. I was told GR stood for Greenwich. For a time in the 1990's, I seem to also remember 216-881-0880 was a time/weather number.

Not that I am suggesting all of Urban Ohio start crank calling anyone, buuuuuuttttt... if you re bored... or drunk later on tonight, I dare you to call (216) GR1-1212. If for anything, just to listen to the voicemail message. I wonder how many people call this guy.
