or 1960...

^Interesting.  Obviously, this is the era when LA's rail transit network had been killed off and the automobile was the new king; leading to the roadside culture and sprawl that is still largely LA today.  Thankfully, though, LA's large and growing mass transit network is reversing much of this, creating density and walkable areas, esp in/near downtown...

... btw, gotta love those canned old '50s-era, "Big City" cues.

This is right by the my office in LA.  I love greater LAs mid century mod look.  This is so strange to see this as most of those structures are not there, but those house with the weird chimneys are there.  I thought there were projects.

I had no idea Patsy's started out as Gaby's other restaurant.  Bob Big Boy and Starbucks all those corners are completely different.

Right now there are a lot of mid rise building on Riverside, Alameda and Olive.

I wonder if street cars or the InterUrban Pacific Electric had routes to Hollywood, Burbank or Glendale?

I think my favorite thing about the video was that they used the original soundtrack for the Disneyland Monorail from the late 50s-early 60s.
