Posted June 22, 201410 yr I've been getting out and about taking photos but haven't had a chance to post them until now - enjoy: I love this view of our convention center - it's underground :-) And this will soon be the site of a 370+ ft. hotel: There are days when I look at at the forecasts and just know there are going to be some good shots - this was one of them :-) Lunchtime in the Arcade: Summertime temps = more pedestrian traffic :-) As much as I love downtown, there's so much more: This is from a bridge in my neighborhood - at 5:15pm we were walking to a great happy hour at one of the hotspots in the Tremont neighborhood. Meanwhile on the highway below... Speaking of the Tremont area: Back downtown: The ornate cornice of the United Church of Christ headquarters: Some elevated views: And back down to earth at East 9th and Euclid: Over toward Huron/Prospect: Over the bridge to the west side: And on the South Side in Tremont, demolition of the Innerbelt bridge A brief departure out of the city: I said it was brief - here's the first glimpse of downtown from the 480/271 ramps: And from the I480/Valley View bridge: And from I-77 northbound: Back downtown with Miss Liberty: And over to the east side en route to the Solstice Party at the Cleveland Museum of Art: At the museum in the Atrium which doubled as the headquarters for SHIELD in the 'Captain America: Winter Soldier" movie: The early hours are a little more formal: And the evening hours get a little crazy! Or sedate if you duck into the museum itself: Or back outside with the performance artists - it's all good! And after that, we closed the place - hope you enjoyed! :-) clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
June 23, 201410 yr Bu-Tee-Ful. The Landmark shot is my favorite. That building doesn't always get the love it deserves, due to its proximity to TT.
June 23, 201410 yr I love seeing all of the PEOPLE on the streets! That's always a good sign. Fantastic shots, as always! “To an Ohio resident - wherever he lives - some other part of his state seems unreal.”

June 23, 201410 yr Thanks again for a great set. The pictures of the crowds of people are as much a favorite to me as the architecture. I was downtown, at UC and Shaker Square on Friday with out-of-town guests. We had lunch at Lola's and, as we're walking across a crowded Euclid at East 4th, we overhead a couple walking behind us say "I wish we had this many people in downtown Detroit." BTW, as I was pointing out the various development projects along the various transit routes of my tour, my guests were blown away with all the construction and rehab projects. So was I. When I show people around my city, I become a tourist in my town and I see it like new through their eyes. That's when I can really appreciate everything that's happening. June 23, 201410 yr Very good work once again. During the summers, I used to make a point of hitting TC during lunchtime even though I worked in Maple Heights. The best time of year to be there. I still find it kind of amusing that the Huntington sign is 600 feet up but the "Huntington Building" is something completely different.
June 23, 201410 yr Man I love Euclid Ave, the street wall there just looks like no other place I've seen.
June 23, 201410 yr I just reviewed this thread and you all know "I love me some" MayDay! He's my lil UO Pumpkin. HOWEVER, I am offended at this post! Why? He did not include one of his signature hidden UO billboards. :( :whip: I look forward to finding that in each of his photo tours!
