well really its a portal into 1985; once you enter Cyndi Lauper is playing in the background, I usually go there to have my rattail trimmed up by some high hair that dons leg warmers... wow I just described Best Cuts AND Parma.

6:30 - Meet at Great Lakes in the main bar. Since they're expecting temps in the 90s Thursday, we'll be inside (otherwise I wilt). If it's insanely crowded, we can head to the cellar. I repeat - if it's insanely crowded, we will head to the cellar (since some people missed us the last time).

 

7:00-ISH - Head over to Bier Markt.

 

Does that work for everyone? Obviously if you'll be dropping by later, chances are we'll be at Bier Markt. Also if anyone wants to grab dinner along with drinks, feel free to do so.

Sorry I missed the gathering. I was absolutely wiped out after all my travels and meetings and interviews today.

Good to see everyone tonight.

For those who did not come out, we discussed having a monthly get together. I suggest picking a day (number - like the 29th, or something like that) and meeting every month on the 29th, That way it will always be on different days (except in February, but who wants to go out in February?).

It will also be a traveling gig so we can spread our cheer throughout the city and maybe the inner ring.

 

So what does everyone think?

It was fun.  Sorry W 28th but after 3 Great Lakes and 2 La Fin Du Mondes and no food all day, I don't think I would have made it to 10pm :wink:

I ended up taking the afternoon off of work to go golfing with a friend (first time in 2-3 years, so I don't get to do it often!), then went to .25 wing night at Lincoln Park Pub.  By the time I got out, it was too late to meet up with the group.

 

I'd love to come to a future meet-up.  I'm all for a monthly get-together.

I like the idea of a monthly meet. And why not make it the 28th to make sure we hit every month, including February? If there's any month where it's good to meet up, it's during that time of the year. Ever notice that UrbanOhio's busiest time of the year has been in February?

 

I also like the idea of holding the Cleveland Montly Meet-Ups along the Rapid lines. There's a couple of places near the West 117th Station, including the Highland Square Tavern (right across from the station) and the Bottoms Up of Lakewood (about 500 feet north of the station on West 117th).

^ Spitfire is intriguing, I haven't been there but heard they have good taps- its just a a few blocks north from the 117th station.

Here's an idea - peabody99 mentioned that it could be a fun time. The $10.00 Rush Hour Cruise on the Goodtime III - starts at 5:30 on Fridays, but they're over after September.
