As always, if you want to grab a bite to eat during the meet, we won't stop you (though we might stare and pope might try to snarf off your plate but it's all good). It's informal, bring a friend/spouse/partner (definitely not a date, not one you're trying to impress anyway) and have a good time. Lurkers and newbies are just as welcome as anyone so don't be afraid. Fyi, I believe they have Christmas Ale on tap - just throwing that out there ;-) If you plan to attend, please reply in this thread so I have a head count!

We left a little after 7. I hope you made it and some were still there. The only reason we had to hit it was b/c food was not available and I had Christmas ales... and only a bowl of chili all day-so we moved to that new Mexican place that gets all the rants. 2 thumbs up for the nice service and margaritas...food eeeh.  I will say I enjoyed seeing those that came and am looking forward to meeting again. I found that Pope's hair cut was very flattering, no? It is fun to meet each personality on the forum.  We should have a potlock some time on a forum meet...maybe in dregs of winter.

Is there gonna be another Cleveland meet some time soon? I'd love to come up there some weekend before the weather gets bad. Seems like you guys organize pretty frequently though.

Tour sites vary from tour to tour, but it's typically a pretty thorough overview of developments on the Near West Side, Near East Side and downtown. The tour also gives participants access to community leaders working on these projects. Past sites have included Gordon Square, Battery Park, Gospel Press, Tink Holl, the Avenue District, etc. It's a bus tour, but there are a number of opportunities to get out and check things out up close and personal.
