I agree with MTS. People can click on the "show unread topics" link to see ALL topics that have been updated. If people miss it, it's their fault.

The lunch thing is definitely something that can grow over time as word spreads. But maybe a bit more notice would help .. if you want more people to show up, that is?

I also share jam40's problem .. but considering I currently have a temp job that doesn't have much to do but kill time on the internet, can we all agree that this is technically work?

I think you all are a nice bunch of people, but I've only done karaoke once. Furthermore, I really don't feel like it would be appropriate to get THAT tipsy in front of everyone - I mean, you'd never respect me as an Admin ever again!

Ahem ... that was at an event co-hosted by two Urban Ohioans, and we still respect you (at least as much as we did before you karaoke'd).

There are many, many, many places for karaoke. Once a month, they have a karaoke night at Prosperity. That's a fun one, and brings a lot of theatre folks, too, who make for entertaining watching. Oh, and free Jello shots for every song you sing. I heart Prosperity.

That had to be a sight to see! MayDay, Blinky and Eightshade, cocktailed!

Being that many of us on UO are involved in the architecture/urban planning/etc. fields, UO only enhances are performances!

Hmm, UO - the latest performance enhancer... I dunno, sounds like an ad for umm, well - something Bob Dole used to pitch.

LOL.  He said "pitch."

Well he certainly wasn't up to bat!

Yeah, well I'm not even on the active roster -- yet!

is it going to look like a snow globe outside next week?

i am actually going to be pretty burried next week.

both weeks are doable for me.

I could do any day next week as of right now.  I'm out all of the following week (LA) and most of the week after (WI).

There is a very small possiblity that I'll be in Cleveland on March 19, so you don't want to schedule it that day.

Bah, you always pick lunches that I'm working!

I could do this thurs.

i'm iffy, mostly all day meeting-a-rama.

I cannot this thursday.

Most of next week during lunch is good for me.

Hmmmm, let me check my work schedule. Oh... wait... I don't work.

I should be able to make it.

is this your idea of networking?

Alright folks - how about this THURSDAY, March 6th at Crop Bistro?

I can do this Thursday, but not next week. I fly out to England March 12 and return March 23. But don't let that stop you.

You sound like me with my dating activity (er, lack thereof)!

  • 4 weeks later...

I can't that day, I have an event and I leave early the next a.m. for NYC.

Open for me as of now.

EightShades, don't you think this is the perfect day to have a luncheon?!

Still available

Alright folks - how does Wednesday, April 2nd sound?

only if it can be in Garfield Heights  :-(

Still available. Just tell me where.

I can actually make it for once!

I'll plan on making it as well.  What place bossman??

C'mon MayDay, give us a location! Clock's ticking....

Cool. I should be able to make it.

EDIT: I will probably be late as I will be coming from an 11 a.m. meeting in Valley View.

It should be somewhere a tad bit more fabulous.  What do you think EightShadesofGray?

Um, if you have absolutely no intentions of attending, kindly butt the h#ll out. :-)

Granted, I know that I'm one of those odd people who realizes that just because I *can* say something, it doesn't mean I *SHOULD* say something.

How does 12 noon work for everyone - those that are planning to go?

What makes you think I'm not going to attend.  I have yet to confirm or deny.

Well, princess, everyone else has been courteous enough to let me know so I can get an accurate headcount. What's your excuse? ;-)

HRH has not confirmed tomorrow's schedule.  I have some family obligations.

Well if you're going to be so hoity-toity to suggest "somewhere more fabulous" than Crop, I think you should offer to cover our tabs! After all "to those whom much is given, much is required".

Noon @ Crop folks - be there or be from Shaker Square!

I said I wan't a kid...not a brood!

Alright folks - it's going to be low 40s tomorrow so bundle up. Crop Bistro at West 6th and Frankfort, 12 noon - closest stop is B-Line Trolley (West 6th and Frankfort), the 20a, 22, 25, 26, 35, 45, E-Line, and 79 drop off at West 6th and Superior. Driving? Good luck! :-D

Oh and since MTS is a cheapskate, bring enough cash to cover your tab.

OK girls, take some freakin' Midol.

Turns out I will there at noon. My meeting in Valley View was canceled!! pepper.gif

I am thinking about going, but I don't know if I could handle your seemingly abrasive personality

Now it's confirmed -- I'll be able to make it.
