I may not be able to go now.  I've been asked to tentatively participate in a piece for Ingenity festival that would be at midnight that night; if it's a go I would have to skip this get-together.

I'm still good to go.

I'm in.

Jar3232 said he'd also come if he's back in town from an event.

50% chance I am in...I love it, and will be there if I can. People should go it they can. Sweet, sweet, time.

Excellent idea

I'm interested, but won't know till Sat. this week or so.  Odds aren't good, though.

I'm officially out, my piece for Ingenuity is a go and I need to prepare for it.

congrats R&R, what is your piece?

I can't go on the GT. Apparently we have other plans

crap, I'll have to pass, as I'll be in Pennsylvania this weekend :-( enjoy, all...

Let's do another roll call - if we have enough interest, it's a go.

This a go then?

I have to work at the bridgestone invitational that day :(

I had planned for Friday, but can probably swing next Friday as well.

maybe next friday works better for me......i dunno

I think a later date would work for Brian and I also. We are busy job hunting and getting art work out and catching up on ten years of technology.

I can't do the Friday happy hour cruises, I don't leave work until 6:00.

But I have no one to dance with!

boo hoo, sob sob.

I think I just vomited a little in my mouth.

  • 2 years later...

Has it really been two years since we've met?? I know the economy's been down, but geez!!!

We need to rectify this, for purposes of economic stimulus, for healing cabin fever and for strengthening the brotherhood (and sisterhood!) of UrbanOhio!

I'm totally up for this!!!!!!!

We've had a few "Happy Hours" , correct?

I thought we had, but I couldn't find any references to them.

I think we should plan something for next week. How does next Thursday (Feb. 17) at 6 p.m. sound? Got any suggestions about a site?

I have two.  We've never really done an eastside/University Circle one.

For a non-Alcoholic  location, how about:

1) Algebra Teahouse (walking distance from Redline and Euclid Corridor)

2) Jolly Scholar on CWRU campus... Very cheap drinks plus happy hour.

I think the posts about meet-ups were in urban bar?

I am still holding out for another lunch meet-up, those I can make. The after work stuff, not so much.

How about a field trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras?

If we meet in UC (I like Murray Hill's suggestions) on Thursday, February 17 at 6 PM, I would be able to make it.

Couldn't find 'em. We could do another lunch meet-up. Would you all prefer that instead?

As long as you're buying, I'm in.

Unless lunch is right downtown, I can't make it.

Would love to meet some forum all stars.

How about if we set up a couple - one for happy hour UC and one for lunch downtown (yes, right downtown). I was thinking Greenhouse tavern but am open to other suggestions.

I'm down with that. How about lunch at Greenhouse Tavern http://thegreenhousetavern.com/ on Feb. 17 and a happy hour one week later (6 p.m. Feb. 24) at McNulty's Irish Pub on Coventry http://www.mcnultyspub.com/?

McNulty's? Have you been there recently? I admit I have not but I would think you could do better.

There's nothing wrong with McNulty's.  They have Dogfish Head on tap. :)

So does Jolly Scholar!

I'm gonna try and make it.  Anyone wanna car pool?  LOL

AHHH!  I won't be able to come- I have a meeting in Hough from 7:00 until probably 9:00.

So does Jolly Scholar!

There's nothing wrong with Jolly Scholar either (I said I liked your choices). :)

I like dumpy Irish joints. They remind me of pubs on the other side of the pond. Although my Irish/Welsh family has been in this country for 300 years, I really feel at home in places like this. Must be in the blood.

Like I said, I have not been to McNulty's recently, but besides the name, nothing seems irish about it to me.  More like dumpy college joint than dumpy irish joint.  to each his own though!

I will see what I can do about clearing my schedule.  No promises.

I agree.  For that vibe, some of the places on Lee Rd. probably fit the bill better.

Howz about 'the Fairmount'?

Howz about 'the Fairmount'?

Out on the patio? :)

I like that place better than McNulty's.

You all should really try Zanzibar's Soul Fusion in Shaker Square...great bar, great decor, and YUMMY food!! (Unfortunately I'll be at that same community meeting in Hough as Oldmanladyluck on the 17th) :-(

So is everybody cool with the Fairmount?
