July 16, 200816 yr I may not be able to go now. I've been asked to tentatively participate in a piece for Ingenity festival that would be at midnight that night; if it's a go I would have to skip this get-together.
July 16, 200816 yr Let's do another roll call - if we have enough interest, it's a go. clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
July 17, 200816 yr 50% chance I am in...I love it, and will be there if I can. People should go it they can. Sweet, sweet, time.
July 17, 200816 yr I'm interested, but won't know till Sat. this week or so. Odds aren't good, though.
July 18, 200816 yr congrats R&R, what is your piece? I can't go on the GT. Apparently we have other plans
July 21, 200816 yr crap, I'll have to pass, as I'll be in Pennsylvania this weekend :-( enjoy, all...
July 22, 200816 yr Let's do another roll call - if we have enough interest, it's a go. This a go then?
July 22, 200816 yr Welllllll, would August 1st work better for anyone? I've gotten a few PMs from people who'd like to go, but this Friday won't work for them. clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
July 22, 200816 yr I think a later date would work for Brian and I also. We are busy job hunting and getting art work out and catching up on ten years of technology.
July 24, 200816 yr Okay, I think we should probably just try and schedule a plain ol' happy hour in the near future. Sorry for those who marked the day, but your dance card is open this Friday! clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
July 24, 200816 yr Well I'm taken - MyTwoSense is available, though!!! clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
February 10, 201114 yr Has it really been two years since we've met?? I know the economy's been down, but geez!!! We need to rectify this, for purposes of economic stimulus, for healing cabin fever and for strengthening the brotherhood (and sisterhood!) of UrbanOhio! "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
February 10, 201114 yr I thought we had, but I couldn't find any references to them. I think we should plan something for next week. How does next Thursday (Feb. 17) at 6 p.m. sound? Got any suggestions about a site? "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
February 10, 201114 yr I have two. We've never really done an eastside/University Circle one. For a non-Alcoholic location, how about: 1) Algebra Teahouse (walking distance from Redline and Euclid Corridor) 2) Jolly Scholar on CWRU campus... Very cheap drinks plus happy hour.
February 10, 201114 yr I think the posts about meet-ups were in urban bar? I am still holding out for another lunch meet-up, those I can make. The after work stuff, not so much.
February 11, 201114 yr If we meet in UC (I like Murray Hill's suggestions) on Thursday, February 17 at 6 PM, I would be able to make it.
February 11, 201114 yr I think the posts about meet-ups were in urban bar? I am still holding out for another lunch meet-up, those I can make. The after work stuff, not so much. Couldn't find 'em. We could do another lunch meet-up. Would you all prefer that instead? How about a field trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras? As long as you're buying, I'm in. February 11, 201114 yr Unless lunch is right downtown, I can't make it. Would love to meet some forum all stars.
February 11, 201114 yr How about if we set up a couple - one for happy hour UC and one for lunch downtown (yes, right downtown). I was thinking Greenhouse tavern but am open to other suggestions.
February 11, 201114 yr How about any of the establishments in Coventry? Maybe that's been done before. https://www.instagram.com/cle_and_beyond/https://www.instagram.com/jbkaufer/

I'm down with that. How about lunch at Greenhouse Tavern http://thegreenhousetavern.com/ on Feb. 17 and a happy hour one week later (6 p.m. Feb. 24) at McNulty's Irish Pub on Coventry http://www.mcnultyspub.com/? February 11, 201114 yr McNulty's? Have you been there recently? I admit I have not but I would think you could do better. If you are going to do CH, I have never been to Fracas or Rockefeller's, but I'd suggest trying something new. http://blog.cleveland.com/sunpress/2010/12/fracas_to_start_in_cleveland_h.html http://www.heightsobserver.org/read/4/2/rockefellers-set-to-open-in-historic-banking-hall
February 11, 201114 yr McNulty's? Have you been there recently? I admit I have not but I would think you could do better. There's nothing wrong with McNulty's. They have Dogfish Head on tap. :)
February 11, 201114 yr ^ McNulty's? Have you been there recently? I admit I have not but I would think you could do better. There's nothing wrong with McNulty's. They have Dogfish Head on tap. :) So does Jolly Scholar!
February 11, 201114 yr AHHH! I won't be able to come- I have a meeting in Hough from 7:00 until probably 9:00.
February 11, 201114 yr So does Jolly Scholar! There's nothing wrong with Jolly Scholar either (I said I liked your choices). :)
February 11, 201114 yr McNulty's? Have you been there recently? I admit I have not but I would think you could do better. There's nothing wrong with McNulty's. They have Dogfish Head on tap. :) I like dumpy Irish joints. They remind me of pubs on the other side of the pond. Although my Irish/Welsh family has been in this country for 300 years, I really feel at home in places like this. Must be in the blood. February 11, 201114 yr Would love to meet some forum all stars. I will see what I can do about clearing my schedule. No promises.

For that vibe, some of the places on Lee Rd. probably fit the bill better.
February 11, 201114 yr Howz about 'the Fairmount'? Out on the patio? :) I like that place better than McNulty's.
February 11, 201114 yr You all should really try Zanzibar's Soul Fusion in Shaker Square...great bar, great decor, and YUMMY food!! (Unfortunately I'll be at that same community meeting in Hough as Oldmanladyluck on the 17th) :-(
February 11, 201114 yr So is everybody cool with the Fairmount? "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
