Posted July 4, 201410 yr Cleveland, OH Ohio City's biggest suburb...or where they go to eat Noodlecat outside of the nine days a year WSM is open. Also, where Nosferatu and the Lake Erie Monster live. Want some extra fun? play this along..................................................
July 4, 201410 yr Nice buildings, but that sure looked scary! Were you intentionally trying to photograph Cleveland when no people were around? Looked downright post-apocalyptic! :? July 4, 201410 yr Nice buildings, but that sure looked scary! Were you intentionally trying to photograph Cleveland when no people were around? Looked downright post-apocalyptic! :? Unless you go to certain pockets during lunch time, these pictures represent what you will actually see. Downtown north of Euclid is embarrassingly dead, which is also unfortunate since that is a huge chunk of downtown. Hopefully things will change but I doubt it due to the nature of the buildings. Btw nice pictures!...although you forgot the east side (where all the pedestrians are! ;) )
July 4, 201410 yr Downtown north of Euclid isn't completely devoid of people (or cars or buses or other activity). Nor are the neighborhoods completely devoid of all activity either, especially the revived ones that Summit Street so nicely photographed. July 4, 201410 yr I really liked the thread. The view of the Higbees building from the welcome center is incredible :)
July 5, 201410 yr Dig that last photo trick. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
July 5, 201410 yr I love the soaring angles. "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
July 8, 201410 yr Great stuff! Glad to see Broadway included and the shot of the Cleveland Trust/Ameritrust/the 9 complex is sweet.
July 9, 201410 yr I'm curious as to what day and time these pictures were taken. It appears to be early on a Sunday morning due to the lack of people and cars....not even many cars parked on the streets.
July 24, 201410 yr Photos from my recent downtown photo session, would have been better if I had my 55mm-200mm lens but oh well.
