Posted July 17, 201410 yr I occasionally see a firehouse or two in some of the city threads posted, but I would like to see them gathered in one spot. I don't care where the building is or what it looks like - an active or inactive station (although my preference is the old ones). So please post away. The large view is here: Forgot the rest of the caption when I posted this! Here goes: Cincinnati, Ohio - This station is located at 3120 Warsaw Avenue in Price Hill. It was the quarters of Engine 24 and Ladder 10 from 1890 until 1940 when they moved to their current station.

July 17, 201410 yr Here are two of Cleveland Heights' old fire stations, courtesy of the CH Historical Society: http://www.chhistory.org/images/featstories/NobleRdStation1931.jpg http://www.chhistory.org/images/featstories/SilsbyStation1931.jpg They were built as mirror images of one another in the early 1930s and utilized as stations until the early 1980s. They both still stand today, one as a police academy and the other as a pharmacy.

July 22, 201410 yr Located at the intersection of Altamont & Parkway in West Covington, this single bay house is home to CFD Pumper 2. Although the lettering over the door reads "ENG", companies in Covington have been referred to as Pumpers and not Engines for as long as I can remember. This station is located just off of Route 8 not far from Ludlow and Devou Park. Want to see a larger version? Update: This firehouse was constructed in 1938.
July 24, 201410 yr it would be great if ppl could add the date built if known. I had planned on doing that, but my brain just wouldn't let me type the information. I edited a couple of the photo captions with that information. Nothing in my notes that has the date of the Stuebenville house.
July 24, 201410 yr Covington KY - Engine 6 (Pumper 6) 1504 Holman Street Constructed in 1906. The firehouse had seen a lot of use by the time I took this photo. The station and the buildings to the left, to the corner of 15th Street, were torn down and a new firehouse was built on the same site in 1983. It's unfortunate that this place had to go as I really liked the look of the building. I want to erase that air conditioner from my picture.... The original image on the ever-changing Flickr site:

August 8, 201410 yr from today -- engine 88 & ladder 38 belmont, bronx (1908) here's some info about the bx: The Borough of the Bronx is home to 30 Engine Companies, 27 Truck Companies, 2 Squad Companies, and 1 Rescue Company quartered in 34 Firehouses (technically they are in 37 Firehouses-6 Firehouses in the borough are conjoined with another). They protect approximately 1.3 million residents over a 44 square mile area. In 2013, Bronx companies responded to 95079 calls, of which 469 were All-Hands or greater. The busiest company in the Bronx in 2013 was Engine Co. 62 with 5425 Runs

October 3, 201410 yr I have a lot of pictures of fire stations in other states. I guess it doesn't matter if it is outside of Ohio? I'll start though with one I just uploaded. The building still exists but it could not handle some of the larger modern fire trucks so a new central fire station was built a few blocks away about 7 years ago. I doubt there's one that looks worse than this (although I could be wrong). October 26, 201410 yr Covington KY - Hose 3 12th Street between Madison Ave. and Scott Blvd. Constructed 1894 This station was located just south of the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption. Unfortunately the building was torn down in the early 1980's.
October 27, 201410 yr This incredible chateau-like firehouse was built by Napoleon Le Brun at a cost of $80,000 in 1896. It was home to Engine Company 31 until 1972 when it was decommissioned by the FDNY. Fortunately, it was listed on the National Registry of Historic Places ten months before, so the structure still survives today. October 30, 201410 yr Put-in-Bay FD, built in the early 1990s. I will have a pic of the old one along soon as well.
October 30, 201410 yr PIB FD #2: The most recent of former stations now houses the Put-in-Bay brewing company. There were living quarters above the bays but no full time firefighters ever lived there.
October 30, 201410 yr PIB FD 3: The town hall housed the first fire station on the island. There were two trucks stored inside the building. The original bay doors are still visible right below the flags behind the bench.
October 30, 201410 yr PIB FD3 (A): In this picture (circa 1930s) are the first two fire trucks to serve the island in front of the town hall. The open bay door behind them was the garage where they were stored. Note: The LaFrance pumper truck on the left is still on the island and used in parades by a private collector.

December 13, 201410 yr Cincinnati OH - Engine 12 2942 Colerain Avenue in Camp Washington This station is still standing. The house was active from 1876 to 1976. I took this photo in the summer of 1974.
February 8, 201510 yr Quarters of Engine 1 and Tac 2 at 111 W. Montcalm St. in Downtown Detroit. Since this photo was taken Tac 2 has been disbanded. At one time this building house Engine and Truck 3.
February 9, 201510 yr interesting and detriot makes the thread! this one is in brooklyn on dean st next to the barclay arena. i dk what happened to the old fire station here, but there is still a beautiful old style police station behind it.

September 3, 20159 yr This old firehouse (#26) is in the little neighborhood of Sedamsville in Cincinnati (here's the full photo thread I did if you're interested).
