Residents are living on the limestone-clad, ornate building's top 12 floors after Willoughby-based K&D Group converted it to mixed-use. ..."This was the fastest we have leased any of our downtown buildings," Price said. That sounds reassuring given that more than 1,000 apartments are going on the market this year in the city of Cleveland. However, there is a telling switch within the building's tenancy. For the first time in several years, Price said, some tenants moved to the new Residences at Leader from other downtown apartment buildings. He believes that may be because tenants are starting to look for lower rents while maintaining the downtown lifestyle, among other reasons.
