Bedrock buys key Gateway District site, once earmarked for ambitious NuCLEus project

Quote

Bedrock, the real estate arm of billionaire Dan Gilbert's Rock family of companies, has purchased one of downtown Cleveland's largest development sites — the 3-acre footprint once earmarked for the ambitious NuCLEus project.

On Friday, Jan. 6, Bedrock bought the property from a joint venture led by Stark Enterprises. The sale ended a protracted dance between Bedrock and Cleveland-based Stark, who had been negotiating, off and on, for well over a year.

Huge news- hoping this get things moving soon!

Edit:  The article mentions the Hudson Yards site in Detroit and how Bedrock is the developer.  The NuCLEus site is a bit larger, but not by much!
