Posted August 15, 201410 yr I haven't hit the remove ads button on the 'footer' ads posted by the forum so I don't know what it does. Does the forum generate revenue from me seeing the ads? Would the forum lose revenue if I turned them off? If seeing an ad helps support the forum, I have no problem.
August 15, 201410 yr If you click on it you will be redirected to our available subscriptions, both of which remove the displayed ads. These ads and subscriptions monetize the size and allow us to continue to pay for a dedicated server.
August 15, 201410 yr Do ads pay UO based on views or clicks? I think it's a mixture of both, but primarily clicks. They weed out fake clicks and we cannot encourage people to click ads. I don't enjoy or like the ads but we have to pay the bills.

The Japanese and the Germans believed in national exceptionalism about 80 years ago, too. It's a waste of time to take your country so seriously.
