These were taken Saturday with my phone. I have high-res of most of the cars that I can process later this week.

My initial reply:

"Someone else mentioned that these are old SEPTA cars - so they could have been sold to RTA for special occasions."

Where is this?

I can't disclose the specifics yet - sworn to secrecy  It's in Pennsylvania, though.

Got a response from a railfanning forum:

"That was a Cleveland RTA car. RTA was established in the 1970s to take over operation of former Shaker Heights Rapid Transit and Cleveland Transit System lines. This car, #56, was a former Shaker Heights Rapid Transit car of the same number that was built new in 1947 for Twin City Rapid Transit as their #345 in 1947 and acquired by SHRT in 1954."

Awesome Sherman!  If you go back, let me know.  You can blindfold me, ha!

sweet shots, but oh come on now, that train graveyard is pretty well known. just to prove it the town starts with a 'w,' but i won't disclose more. i've seen pics from there in the past. i hope you can put up more shots because its awesome. i would love to poke around in a place like that. there is a plane graveyard in the sw too that i want to see someday if its possible. the closest to anything similar that i got to recently was an old bus graveyard along the gowanus canal in brooklyn ;(

The Greater  Cleveland RTA car was from the Shaker Rapid fleet.  These PCC were used on the Shaker rapid from the 40s until 1981 rebuilding of the line.
