You may notice above that the Carroll County Courthouse is under renovation. The most dramatic change on the exterior is installation of much more appropriate windows, restoring glass to the entire opening.

It's funny how to think a shale boom, had it taken place 100 years ago, would of transformed a town, versus the way it has today.  Not taking away any of the economic benefits of this Play, but Scio, Carrollton, Jewett and a handful of others dont look much different three years into this play thanks to technology, and the ability to control a downhole rig from OKC or Dallas...

Great photos!  I frequent the town, and must say you gave a great photo documentary.
