Isn't the Erie view redevelopment supposed to begin in 2025 as well? I also predict we'll hear about the PHS project as well and if it's announced soon enough it could break in 2025.

Hopefully it will start even sooner, before the end of this year.  Apparently there was a small ceremony on site this past week in connection with the closing of financing.  It well be difficult to tell how work is or is not proceeding since most of it will be internal.

  • There's a lot more percolating out there. Look for news in the coming weeks about Sherwin Williams, City Club Apartments, UC3/Circle Square, Geis projects, Hemingway projects, Snavely projects, Kertes

  • In terms of new construction, its most likely going to be Bedrock, followed by CSU, Haslam Lakefront high rises on East 9th, Ballpark village announcement, Greyhound site and Superior and 15th...

  • Harbor Bay's Market Square is next. Assuming no hiccups, it is due to start in March. City Club is likely next, due by the end of summer. There's a couple of mid-rise projects percolating downtown but

what do you all think about this new atlanta beltline morris adjimi forth hotel? its not skyline changing, but something like that seems perfect to pair with what sherwin williams would like to have nearby —

Love it. A slightly taller version would fit in perfectly between the Rockefeller building and the Sherwin HQ, and add some street level businesses at the bottom. Filling both their hotel and extra office space needs. Then copy and paste the residential building right next to it, Overline Residences, into the big Warehouse District lot.

Funny enough it actually reminded me of the renderings of the hotel next to RMFH planned for The Riverfront

Prior to now, the last post in this thread was November 4, 2024 😵‍💫.  Obviously the world has changed since then.  I know mine has!  And there’s lots of uncertainty (interest rates, tariffs, stock market, federal government dysfunction, etc.). So it feels like time to reignite this thread.   What project do we think is next?   I guess Tower at Erieview / W has already started, so it can’t be that one.  Vibe, Carriage Co., Shoreway Tower, or Bridgeworks?  Something else?

I feel Bridgeworks will be the next project to start construction. As much as I am not a fan of the final iteration I do hope it begins

Next?  I am hoping sometime in my lifetime.

That topic of the new courthouse sure has been quiet over the last year or so….

I'm sure the Browns Fiasco has played into that somewhat.

I think the jail fiasco more than the Browns...

Obligatory at this point...

I have heard that there is some actual legitimacy to putting the courts in the Centennial

I think we have scared him away with all our inquires and, dare I say, veiled sarcasm.  I believe that line is starting to top "world class signage" as our Cleveland UO inside joke.

Perhaps not the spirit of this thread, but based on the recent Crains article, it sounds like a soccer stadium in South Gateway may be next.

As much I would love to see Centennial activated, as i am fearful at this point it is going to sit vacant for a long time, I still don't see how this works economically.  It will probably cost a fortune to build out all the courtrooms.  The judges are not going to stand for low ceiling courtrooms so they will have to cut between floors multiple times.  The judges have been one of the biggest hang ups to getting this done to date.  I would imagine retro fitting to meet modern day security standards would also be costly.  Starting from scratch would probably be more economical, although still cost a fortune.  Just my uneducated construction industry opinion.

Perhaps we will hear something about the courthouse after the police HQ moves to their new (renovated) building.

I see the Vibe in Ohio City happening sooner rather than later.  The developer seems motivated.

it's amazing how these hugely urgent decisions are taking 5-6 years to even get past preliminary discussions.  they should at least know if they're pursuing reno vs new build by now.

that said, I'm hoping centenial works.

Wonder if Bedrock Riverfront is back in play for the courthouse project in view of Bedrock’s recent plan to complete all bulkheads and roadways all at once rather piecemeal. If so that would make easier for this and others to plug and chug their projects along the Riverfront.

Maybe, but Initially, they only offered the Landmark Building.

A lot of the projects that I thought might be next, have already started. 🥰

The Arcadia new build at the Van Aken district is supposed to start this month, so That is my guess.

The Carriage Co (voss industries) project was also hoping to get started in March, so they are my next guess.

Otherwise, I would have thought the new Eat Stokes tower of Circle Square would have been close, if not for the KJP article about it last month.

I've been trying to remind myself what projects have received enough approvals to get moving. Ignoring the financing, of course 😁
