What brought your a$$ to MERIDIAN?  Now THAT is a trip.

I have always meant to visit Meridian.

 

Looks like they may have the second largest downtown in Mississippi.

yeah i always wanted to do a west to east drive like tyler>vicksburg>jackson>meridian>montgomery>columbus>macon>savannah.

 

and below that a drive along the gulf from houston>panama city.

 

anyway meridian certainly has some interestingly umm, cared for, tall structures.

 

the rest looks like anywhere, usa, but i like it, looks nicely intact. interesting to see this city.

What brought your a$$ to MERIDIAN?

 

It was close enough to visit while I was collecting State Capitals in the region.

So those two towers are apparently Missouth Vital Records North and South Tower and were originally parking garages.

 

AS for the Threefoot Building, it's redevelopment was Crancelled: http://www.wikiwand.com/en/Threefoot_Building

Am I bad urbanist for thinking that those skyscraper parking garages are kind of cool?
