Known for being an industrial city, and for being a major part in the civil rights movement.

 

Has a sizable collection of pre-war towers:

I love Birmingham's downtown building stock. It is unfortunate that so much is dark.

It's like Atlanta's downtown before the 80's boom.

Some really great historic skyscrapers there.  I've always been curious about what Birmingham looks like. Do you have any neighborhood shots?

I like that white building with the curved corner

So many abandonments. (Drools)

I didn't get anything outside of the downtown area. The only neighborhoods I have heard of are Ensley (which I completely forgot about while there...) and whatever they call the area around UAB.

Also, English Village is a small yet interesting neighborhood.
