Spent a recent weekend in D.C. to see a friend inducted as president of the National Press Club, but had some down time to explore neighborhoods. Later threads will highlight stops in Appalachian cities on the drive home.

Great pictures. I'm glad you got to Ben's. I miss that place! But that guy in the picture is definitely not the owner/Ben's son.

Thanks for the tour of D.C. I have never been there (sorry to say), but its on the bucket list. Absolutely great shots of this neighborhood.

Also inspires me to keep fighting to save the Brooklyn Centre neighborhood of Cleveland in which I live in where over 90% of the homes were build between 1900 - 1915, and are still standing.

That white home in photos #11-12.

I wonder how Ben's is dealing with the whole Cosby situation....

I love DC though. Really interesting city.

Beautiful! I like "The Con" (6 & 7).

These are some of my favorite DC neighborhoods.  Logan Circle is really a gem. Thanks for sharing!

The white home was built by Ulysses S. Grant's son. It's more grand and imposing in person than it even appears in these pictures.

Great shots. Logan Circle is a beautiful neighborhood. Hard to believe it has just been revitalized in the last 5-10 years along with 14th Street to its west.
