On my way home from D.C., I had dreary weather, but time enough to photograph a few towns I wanted to check out, starting with historic Frederick, Maryland, which appears stuck in time -- perhaps because it's hemmed in by an almost impenetrable hellscape of sprawl.

Very pleasant. Thanks!

Frederick is a really cool town. Thanks for the pictures. It's unfortuante that most people just associate this city with suburban sprawl shopping centers off of 270

Frederick has a fantastic city center.

Haven't they ever heard of surface parking lots.  They need to tear some of those old buildings down and put some in.  I mean what kind of American urban planning is this?

Wow, I had no idea there was an actual historic center to Frederick! I honestly thought it was just a sub/exurban community.  What a pleasant surprise.
