so yeah, basically i just threw darts at a map to decide where to go this past weekend. I discovered many "wonderful" towns, such East Liverpool featured in this craptastic tour. Now you don't have to go to the EL b/c i've been there and i can certainly not recommend it.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Even though the town looks horridly depressed, the architecture is superb. Very nice stuff there.

nice library...

it seems like nearly every city in this size bracket has those goofy wire alleys

^Zanesville has 'em too

That is one pathetic masonic temple.

And Marion and Lancaster (from what I've seen)

Hard to believe from the pics of ELO and Lisbon that Columbiana County has 111,500 people.

The "culligan" building gets my vote for most out-of-place-yet-totally-kicks-ass building in Ohio.

I really like the city hall.

That's exactly what I was thinking.  I don't know what the people or the local economy are like, but the buildings are gorgeous.  This set actually does the opposite of what it set out to do.  I want to visit East Liverpool.  :)

Some great shots and typical amusing commentary. I didn't know the Beatles were from Ohio! Cool!
