Great photos of a hopefully rare event!

How often does the river flood? Is it every few years or every couple of decades? I know I saw pictures on here of a major Cincinnati flood in the 90s.

It reaches flood stage almost every year, but I think the last time the river got this high was in '97, when it reached 65 feet.  I think this time it crested at just under 58 ft.  I was only a kid in '97, but I remember the flood caused the Children's Museum to close and permanently relocate to Union Terminal.

Yay flood!

The 1997 flood was the 9th highest on record. The highest was in 1937 at 79.9 feet.
