The original Euclid Theater in downtown only existed from 1914 until 1921, when it was razed for the Union Commerce Bank/Huntington Bank tower. When I was in East Cleveland, I came across the Euclid Theater at Euclid and Invanhoe: http://abandonedonline.net/locations/commercial/euclid-theater/

It existed from its opening May 22, 1925 until 1950.

My question is: was the East Cleveland theater a replacement for the downtown location? I can't find any connection between the developer Joseph Lorange and the former downtown theater. Names can be reused but they are typically from the same company.

I found an article in the PD from 1918 that mentions Lorange as the developer of the downtown theater. See attachment.

Thank you! It was hard enough to dig up information on the East Cleveland location in the PD archives. I'll start with that and go from there. Awesome to find some connection!

Getting into the PD archives can be dangerous...I can get lost for hours in there.
