If you looked at the Carmel thread you probably noticed the nice sunny weather. Well a county south there was no sun. Indianapolis was pretty gloomy. Starting off on the east side is an old theater that operated from 1927 to 1992. A group is currently trying to renovate it into a performing arts theater. March 26, 201510 yr I remember staying at the Crowne Plaza a few years back and thinking how neat it was being part of the old train station. There were a ton of old train memorabilia around and it was like a museum walking through there. However, much to my chagrin, they still used the tracks on the back of the building so every evening at 11PM, 2AM, and 5AM I was woken up by the violet shaking of the room and loud train horns as the train passed next to the hotel.
March 29, 201510 yr indy indy! pennarts, the station, the rep theater and the initial old movie house they are trying to renovate and tear down are the winners in this thread. nothing wrong with the new stuff either like the chipotle building. the rest is ok.
