I think this building's design is one of the most spectacular of anything that's currently under construction. And aspects of it remind me a little bit of the nuCLEus tower proposed for Cleveland. Anyway, it's slated to be 75 floors and 1,026 feet.

I was fortunate enough to be in Bangkok for a work trip last week, and on my one free day, I walked a couple of miles in 100-sh degree heat to get a closer look at this beauty. Enjoy. :-)

That thing looks crazy!

Here's a rendering of it completed:

If you like this building, check out Herzog & de Meuron's 56 Leonard Street in NYC. It was designed pre-recession but is underway now. Some of the early renderings were amazing, though the design has since gone through some value engineering.

Ram23, I'm familiar with 56 Leonard Street, but I'm not a huge fan of it, not sure why. What I like about this Bangkok design is how the pixelated portion wraps up around the otherwise traditional boxy glass tower. Looks weirdly post-apocalyptic to me.

It looks like a building that partially collapsed after an earthquake.  Too gimmicky for me. Not a fan.

ha ha wow thats crazy looking - its another jenga tower like 56 leonard st!

If you want an even closer NYC example, look up Daniel Libeskind's One Madison Avenue. It never got built but would have been built next to the never finished Metlife Building on Madison Square Park that only got its first 20 or so stories built before construction paused.

The proposal looks like a more futuristic, sleeker version of the Ritz Carlton.

Interesting, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing your photos! I had forgotten about this building and didn't realize it was so far along already. It's definitely a unique concept and definitely stands out from pretty much anything else out there.
