Moved into the Stonebridge condo tower last weekend, and decided to take advantage of this beautiful weather this weekend to take my first ever walk to the end of the Superior Viaduct. Then went down on lower Detroit, along and across the river, and back across on the Detroit-Superior Bridge . Got some great skyline pics and decided to share... Enjoy! :D

Some nice shots

Nice pics.  How is Stonebridge?  Have they settled all the construction issues and lawsuit?

Granted I've only been here a week so far, but everything seems very nice so far. Friendly people, quiet building, and great views. They recently remodeled the lobby on the Viaduct side of the building, which looks fantastic, and I haven't noticed any structural problems or water damage. The condo association is in the middle of rebranding the building, and soon it will no longer be called Stonebridge (to move away from the associated stigma), and will be undergoing an exterior makeover.

Awesome shots!

Nice! I'd really love to see some more investment in the West Bank. It has some of my favorite views of downtown, and it's a good central location. It's a shame there are so many undeveloped parking lots just sitting there.

Agree. This neighborhood has the makings of a really tremendous neighborhood. Needs more landscaping effort, infrastructure repair and overall sprucing up. But yes, it's a really unique asset.

Yep, that's all why I ended up choosing here over staying downtown. I love how it's an easy walk to everything in Ohio City/Hingetown, as well as still being in easy reach of everywhere downtown. Plus the views are amazing, and it's so cool being under all of the bridges. Still alot of potential, and a shame more of the Stonebridge plan wasn't completed.

Congrats on the move. And thanks for sharing the pics.

Nice pics! The streetcar tracks were reinstalled by the developers of Stonebridge and their architect Bob Corna who had dreams of developing a heritage streetcar service from the viaduct and down West 25th Street, possibly to the Market District if I remember right. They even bought an old PCC streetcar from Pittsburgh which is parked next between old Detroit Avenue and the "new" viaduct. Or at least it was....

Oh! Great to know, thank you! I thought they looked a little recent... And I believe the streetcar you mention is still there, parked in the fenced off parking lot between the County's building and the little brick law office building. I was just walking past the other day and thinking what an interesting "bus" the County had in the lot lol

PoshSteve[/member]  Nice pics, looking forward to more!

Great views!
