August 12, 20159 yr Definite maybe. I see it's on Tuesday, August 18 "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck

August 19, 20159 yr Did you end up going, MayDay[/member]? If so, thoughts on the talk? I thought it was interesting, but had hoped for more discussion of lesser known buildings in Cleveland. A few people asked questions about housing in the city, and I got the thought that it would be cool to have a talk about the various residential architecture styles in Cleveland. It would look at the different styles of housing, what time period they came about, and why certain neighborhoods look the way that they do. I haven't really seen any comprehensive overview of that before.
August 19, 20159 yr Yep, I was there with my husband; pretty sure I was the only guy wearing a suit and tie (just got out of work). I thought he did a pretty good job - it would have been cool to hear more "bet you didn't know" like he said about Key Tower, but it sounds like they're considering future events. clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
August 19, 20159 yr Well, there were at least two guys there wearing suits and ties, because I was the other one. Never realized that Blossom Music Center was the Gateway Arch tilted to the side.
August 19, 20159 yr Well, there were at least two guys there wearing suits and ties, because I was the other one. Never realized that Blossom Music Center was the Gateway Arch tilted to the side. I thought that sounded like a cool fact too, and decided to look at it further last night...unfortunately it's not really the case. The Blossom "arch" is pretty much at a right angle, so thus very different from the Gateway Arch. Wow, I'm totally being "that guy" right now... Sorry
August 19, 20159 yr Being "that guy or gal" is part of the membership requirements for this forum, haha. clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
