February 26, 200619 yr aaah yous guys are peaches -- thanks guys -- i want those! got links? what i reallyreally want is one of those old 70's "cleveland's a plum" tee shirts. i wish they would remake those.
February 26, 200619 yr I remember back in the early ninities seeing "Toledo is for Lovers" shirts. that's virginia's tourism slogan. Detroit has had them for a while too (mocking VA)
February 26, 200619 yr Actually, I kind of like the I Hate OH shirt...like a gay friend of mine who has a t-shirt that says, "I HATE MY GIRLFRIEND." It's just funny on so many levels...
February 26, 200619 yr I love that "Cleveland Junky" t-shirt. Im sure there could be a lot of fun with the "Queen City" moniker for Cincinnati. Dayton, The Gem City? what, a diamond zircon? (there was that Dayton as Hollywood gag postcard from the late 80s....someone did a good photomontage of a beach and ocean, downtown Dayton, and in the Hollywood hills, they put in a big "D A Y T O N" sign instead of the familiar Hollywood one. It was a real hoot!) And, there was that bumper sticker/promo from the late 70s/early 80s in Louisville..."I Luv Loahvuhl"....a pun on the local's 'difficult' prononciation of Louisville.
February 28, 200619 yr Rubber City Clothing Company for Akron-centric designs http://www.rubbercityclothing.com/scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=16 My personal favorite is the Ghost town t-shirt
March 1, 200619 yr Save Rolling Acres? Horse Farm along US 42 between Delaware and Ashley. I didn't realize there was a chance of it going away.
March 1, 200619 yr That shirt seems to be a reference to the 2004 presidential election (given the fact that the state is colored red). A lot of people blamed us for putting Bush into office. Why they don't also blame the other 30-odd states that voted for him -- and by not nearly so narrow a margin -- I don't know.
March 1, 200619 yr If it's Akron-based, I presume it deals with the Rolling Acres Mall, which has been declining for a while. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
March 1, 200619 yr If it's Akron-based, I presume it deals with the Rolling Acres Mall, which has been declining for a while. What's with Akron-Canton and Delaware Co. sharing names (Rolling Acres, BV)?
March 1, 200619 yr Save Rolling Acres? Rolling Acres is the largest mall in Akron, built in 1976 by Forest City. It is now a really rundown area with vacant stores all around. I believe the mall itself is pretty abandoned as well. The t-shirt is a joke by the makers because I don't think anyone really cares about the place.
