Posted October 1, 20159 yr Yesterday I tripped over these BBC aerial photo-illustrations (or whatever they are) of London. Scroll down through them to comprehend the sheer immensity of the city. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-248d9ac7-9784-4769-936a-8d3b435857a8
October 1, 20159 yr Great article, great photos. The photos might be from a drone but are more likely from a helicopter since the images look like they came from the sort of pro DSLR that most people won't risk putting on a drone and are better composed than typically disorganized drone images. There has been quite a bit of writing in recent years on wild foreign investment in London by Russians and Arabs seeking to put their money in a stable currency (not the Euro) and in a safe country. England is a lot closer to Moscow and the Middle East than is the United States, although a lot of similar real estate investment has made it to New York City and Toronto. The problem is that foreigners have bought thousands of condos and homes in these cities but they sit empty almost all year.
October 4, 20159 yr ^ thats right they sit empty. so they are there for the taking. when the time is right. maybe it will be like in the dominican republic where whoever lives anywhere has rights to it. awesome link. i have never seen a scroll like that before. its a great way read the article and to see those excellent aerials.
